Associate Roman Blazhko offers commentary for “24” News Channel on the situation around «Karya Tour»
Associate Roman Blazhko commented on the situation relating to the failure of «Karya Tour», tour operator to accommodate Ukrainian tourists in Turkish resorts. A special attention was paid to the responsibility of the tour operator for breaching its obligations under the travel service contracts. Roman Blazhko emphasized the importance and usefulness of documenting evidence confirming the improper execution of the tour operator’s commitments to the tourists.
“Besides damages caused by the tour operator, the tourist is entitled to both the compensation for moral damages, whose amount based on the realities of court practice can reach as much as 10-20 thousand hryvnias, and the stipulated by the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Consumer Rights” penalty at the rate of 3% of the cost of travel services for each day (hour) of delay in providing an accommodation to the tourist in the country of destination,” Roman Blazhko said.
